   Prof. dr Dragoljub Đ. Kavran, is the Head, Department for Public Law, Belgrade University School of Law, Chair professor of Administrative Law and Public Administration, Chairman, YugoslavAssociation for Public Administration. He was born in 1933 in Belgrade. Studied Law and World Literature, specialized in Administrativ Law, Public Administration and Personnel Policy in USA, England and Italy. Taught Administrative Law, Public Administration and Personnel Policy courses at Belgrade and Ljubljana Universites, visiting professor, Michigan University – Ann Arbor, Western Michigan University, Columbia, Missouri, U. of Arizona, New York University etc. Between 1981-86 served in New York as Special Technical Adviser for Public Administration to the Secretary General. Interregional Coordinator for Public Administration – Europe and Middle East. Coordinated institution or capacity building projects in many countries. Authored 23 books:  "Organization, Personnel and Management" Ljubljana, Slovenia, 1993; "Public Administration and Public Policy" Handbook-Trainers manual, UN, 1997 and 1998; "Gosudarstvennoe Upravlenie i Gosudarstvennaja Politika", Ucbenoe Posobie, Russian, United Nations, 1997 and 1998; "Public Administration Policy Studies-Administrative Reform and Civil Service Training", UN, 1997; "Environmental Law and environmental Protection" co-editor, Belgrade, 1997; "Organization, Theory and Practice", in print. He published over 400 studies and articles; participated at over 100 International Congresess and Seminars. He is a member of IIAS, EGPA, American Association for Public Administration, etc.

Prof. Dr Miladin M. Korać was born in 1924 in Valjevo. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics,  Belgrade University in 1949, where he earned also his PhD degree in 1956. He was elected Assistant Professor of Political Economy in 1949, and promoted to full professorship in 1966. In 1981 he was elected a corresponding member of the Yugoslav Academy of Sciences and Arts (Zagreb).
   He published 21 books. His two most outstanding works comprise: (1) Political Economy - Basics of Theoretical Analysis of Capitalist and Socialist Commodity Production, a university textbook (Rad, Belgrade, co-author, 10 editions from 1966 through 1982, total volume 104.000 copies, translated and published in Prishtina in Albanian language in 1977, and in Beijing in  Chinese language - 1982); (2) Socialist Self-Managing Mode of Production, three volumes (Komunist Publishing House, 1977, 1980, 1982, total volume 1500 published pages). The first volume is translated into Chinese and published in Beijing in 1981, and the abbreviated version was translated into the Japanese language and published in Tokyo in 1982 under the title: "Political Economy of Self-Management - Production and Distribution."

   Prof. Dr Vladimir S. Kostić was born on October 18th 1953. in Belgrade, where he graduated from the School of Medicine,University of Belgrade. He received his Board Certificate in Neuropsychiatry in 1985. In 1986 he earned his PhD degree for this thesis entitled: Study of Prostaglandin Metabolism in Cerebral Ischemia He is Associate Professor of Neurology at the School of Medicine, University of Belgrade and head, Department of CNS Degenerative Diseases, Institute of Neurology, CCS. As a Fulbright fellow he worked at the Institute of Neurology, Columbia University (USA) in the capacity of a Visiting Professor in 1989/90. He spent additional 13 months at the same institution in 1995/96. He is the author or co-author of 395 papers out of which 395 were published in extenso in the leading international journals. He is the author or co-author of four books and editor or co-editor of 9 monographs. He delivered a substantial number of invited lectures in the country and abroad. He has been and is the chief investigator of a large number of research projects. According to the data obtained from the Science Citation Index he was cited over 750 times. He is a member of the International Committee of the International Neuropsychiatric Association, representative of YNS at the International Society for Movement Disorders, member of the Serbian Medical Society, Yugoslav Neurological Society, Yugoslav Society for Movement Disorders, World Federation of Neurology, American Academy of Neurology, International Society for Neurochemistry, corresponding fellow of the Medical Academy of the Serbian Medical Society. He was a laureate of the October Prize of the City of Belgrade on two occasions, in 1988 and 1994. He also received the Annual Award of the Serbian medical Society for Science and research in 1997. His major scientific contributions are related to studies of pathophysiologic processes in the CNS degenerative diseases and nature of selective neuronal death, study of the role of basal ganglia and cortico-subcortical links in the regulation of cognitive and affective functions as well as studies of clinical and genetic characteristics of different movement disorders.

   Prof. Dr ®ivko K. Kostić was born in Mostar in 1913. He graduated from the School of Law, University of Belgrade. He earned his PhD degree at the School of Economics, University of Belgrade, where he was elected Professor of Economic Management of Enterprises. He was the Head of the Department of Economic Management of Organization of Enterprises for seven consecutive terms.
   He is a member of the Scientific Society of Economists of Yugoslavia, of the Yugoslav Academy of Economic Sciences, and Honorary member of the Association of Economists of Serbia. He submitted papers at numerous conferences in Yugoslavia and abroad. Prof. Kostić is also a member of the editorial board of the encyclopedia of Economy, and several other encyclopedias.
   Prof. Kostić is the Editor in chief of prestigious academic journals in the field of economy. He published 19 books and numerous articles in academic journals and proceedings. His principal publications include: The Foundations of the Theory of Mezoeconomy (5 editions) and Elements of the Organization of the Enterprise (26 editions). He introduced the concept of mezoeconomy into the economic theory and formulated the original concept of functions in the enterprises.

   Prof. Dr Oskar I. Kovač was born in 1937 in Zrenjanin (Yugoslavia). He was awarded his MSc degree at the School of Economics in Belgrade University in 1967. His PhD degree followed in 1971. He was a postgraduate research student at the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1966-67, and spend his leave of absence at the Massachusetts Institute of technology, USA in 1979-1980. He was a member of the Yugoslav Government,  the Vice-president of Yugoslav Government, as well as a Member of Parliament in the first, third and fourth sessions of the Serbian Parliament. Prof. Kovač published 337 papers (14 books, as the author or co-author), out of these three in the Hungarian and 54 in major languages. His studies cover the following fields: balance of payments and international finances, external balance and economic growth, reintegration of Yugoslavia into the world economy, effective protection and economic competitiveness. In his papers prof. Kovač successfully combined strict theoretical elaboration with empirical economic analyses of the Yugoslav economy. He is a recognized expert in interrelations of crucial macroeconomic aggregates and relations among the domestic and foreign factors, as well as limitations of economic growth.

   Prof. Dr Slobodan B. Krčevinac was born in 1939 in Belgrade. He graduated from the School of Electrical Engineering, Belgrade University in 1963, and received his PhD degree from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Birmingham, UK, in 1971. In 1986 he was elected full professor of Operations Research and Econometric Methods. From 1986 through 1988 he was a visiting professor of the Eastern Michigan University, USA. He is a member of several national and international professional societies, UNIDO expert and Yugoslav government expert. He is the founder and permanent member of the Program Committee of the Yugoslav Symposium on Operations research and Balkan Conference on Operations Research, member of Konstantinos Porfirogenet Society and a member of the Advisory Board, Journal of the Institute of Middle East Studies "Al Mamun". He is the founder and associate editor of the international Yugoslav Journal of Operations Research. He published 20 textbooks and monographs, 88 scientific papers and worked on 70 research projects. His impact on development of operations research and information systems in Yugoslavia is very significant and recognized internationally.

   Prof. Dr Milan V. Kurepa was born in 1933 in Bačka Palanka. He graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Belgrade in 1957. As an undergraduate, he began to work at the ‘Boris Kidrič’ Institute in Vinča, where he remained after graduation as an assistant for nuclear radiation detection. He had advanced training in the filed of atomic collision physics. He defended his Ph.D. theses in the same filed at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in 1963. Prof. Kurepa was elected associated professor at the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Belgrade in 1964, and was promoted into full professor in 1981. He held the Basic course of physics for students of biology and chemistry, as well as courses in Atom physics, Molecular physics, Experimental physical methods intended for full-time students, Vacuum physics. Electronic spectrometry and mass spectrometry postgraduate courses. He was elected scientific advisor at the Institute of Physics in Belgrade in 1981. He is a member of numerous scientific associations, societies and editorial boards in the country and abroad. He published a review in an international journal, 39 papers in international and 4 in national scientific journals and presented 4 papers in-extenso and 63 in the form of abstracts at international scientific meetings. Prof. Kurepa also presented 28 in-extenso papers and 48 abstracts at national scientific meetings. He delivered 8 plenary lectures. As a co-author he contributed to 9 university text-books and books. He was awarded the October prize of the City of Belgrade and Medal of Labor with red flag. he was elected corresponding member of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts in 1994.

   Prof. Dr. Jaroslav M. Labat was born in 1933. He graduated from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of  Belgrade. He was awarded his Ph.D. degree at the University of Liverpool (England) in 1963, in the filed of the physics of high-temperature plasma. He spent whole professional career at the Faculty of Physics, University of Belgrade where he went the whole way from an assistant to full professor in 1982.
   He lectured on general physics and physics of the ionized gases and plasma. As a scientist, Prof. Labat was particularly focused at the processes in ionized gases and interactions of laser radiation and plasma. He published 58 papers in international scientific journals and 57 papers in international congress proceedings. His papers were quoted more than 150 times. Prof. Labat is the author of three university text-books. He was the member of numerous scientific associations and editorial boards. He delivered a number of plenary lectures at the international conferences. He is a member of the Serbian Scientific Society and Serbian Association of Physicists.

   Prof. Dr. Branka G. Lazić (nee Grujić) was born in 1937 in Subotica. She completed her elementary, high school and faculty of Agriculture (1960) in Novi Sad. She defended her MSc and Ph.D. theses at the Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad in 1967 and 1970, respectively. She was elected assistant professor in 1960, associate professor in 1970,  and full professor in 1982. She served two terms as the Head of the Department of Farming and Plant Growing, and during the period between 1985 and 1989 she was the Dean. She was a mentor for 8 MSc theses and six Ph.D. theses, as well as the mentor of 2 foreign students and 4 from the country during their advanced training. She was the Head of 11 scientific and technological projects (2 international), and published and presented 303 papers, (73 as a single author and 188 as the first author, 25 at international congresses out of which 12 as invited lecturer). She developed first Yugoslav onion sort named ‘kupusinski jabučar’. Her scientific research work is based on agrobiological studies, vegetable quality, the methods of growing in protected areas and methods of ecological productions. She is a member of ISHS (1974), ABI Research Board of Advisers (1989), SIT of Yugoslavia, Serbian Scientific Society (1996). She published 12 books as a single author and first author, out of which the books ‘Health from the garden throughout the year’ (1991), ‘Benefits of the Protected Garden’ (1991), ‘A window to the bio-garden’ (1998) and ‘Vegetable growing’ are the quoted ones.

   Prof. Dr. Slobodan M. Lazović was born in Belgrade in 1938. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in telecommunications and electronics from the Electrical Engineering Faculty, University of Belgrade, in 1961 and 1968 respectively, and Ph.D. degree in telecommunications from the Electronic Engineering Faculty University of Nis, in 1972.
   Since 1981 he has been a full Professor at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade, teaching graduate and postgraduate courses in telecommunications. He was the Dean of the Faculty and Vice Rector of the University in Nią. Now he is the Vice Dean and Head of the Chair for Postal and Telecommunication Traffic.  As a visiting professor he spent a year at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Department of Electrical Engineering, USA. Also, he had been included in different cooperative research programs in USA, Germany and France for over a year.
   His scientific interests include electronic circuits, signal compression, telecommunication traffic theory end fiber optic system. He is the author five books, which are used as standard textbooksa at universities in Yugoslavia, and over 110 scientific papers.
   Prof. Lazović is the President of the Program Committee of the Yugoslav Society of Electronics, Telecommunications, Computers, Automatics and Nuclear Engineering. He is the conference chairman of the Symposiums on the New Technologies in Postal and Telecommunication Traffic.
   For his scientific achievements Prof. Lazović was several times awarded.

   Prof. Dr Vojislav M. Leković was born in 1949. and graduated from the School of Dentistry in Belgrade in 1974. In 1979. he defended his M.Sc. thesis and was awarded PhD degree in 1981. He is full professor of Periodontology and Oral Medicine at University of Belgrade and Visiting professor at University of California Los Angeles – UCLA. Prof. Leković served two termes as Vice Dean of the School of Dentistry in Belgrade.

   Prof. Dr. Leković has published and presented over 350 research papers, most of them at international journals and confenrences. He is author and co-author at 8 monographts and text books. He is the chief researcher and participant in 22 international and national projects. Main topic of his research activities is regenerative periodontal therapy. For his research achivements Prof. Dr Lekvić recieved several awards, including October reward of the city of Belgarde for scientific research (1980., 1987.), Annual price UCLA (1995.), Annual price, European Academy of Implantology (1997.). He is a member of several international and national associations including American Academy of Periodontology, European Academy of Implantology etc.
