Aims of the Scientific Society of Serbia


The basic aims of the Society are:

1. Freedom of scientific work, pursuant to pertinent legislation and scientific standards, 
2. Development and promotion of scientific work and thought, 
3. Development and nourishing of scientific critique, 
4. Development and verification of the scientific methods, 
5. Adjustment of scientific works, particularly at universities, to new advances in science and needs of the practice, 
6. Analysis of scientific discoveries and investigation of the prospects and consequences of their application, 
7. Spread and popularization of scientific knowledge, 
8. Realization of other aims of interest for the Society and its members, 


In order to realize the above aims the Society uses:

  • General scientific discussions on the plenary meetings of the Society, 
  • Specialized scientific discussions within the Society Sections, 
  • Organization of scientific meetings (symposia, workshops, discussions), 
  • Elaboration of scientific projects, professional projects and analyses, 
  • Analysis and classification of aggregated information and records, 
  • Public lectures and workshops, courses and other forms of innovation of knowledge, 
  • Publishing regular and intermittent editions, 
  • Initiatives, suggestions and opinion on governmental bodies and other organizations for promotion of scientific, professional and research activities, 
  • Collaboration with other scientific and other professional organizations, institutions and persons in the country and abroad, 
  • Participation in establishing the common guidelines and development programs for science and research activities, 
  • Other forms of organization, activities and engagement for realization of aims defined by this Statutes.
