Journal of Henry Jones

A short time ago, my grandfather died. After the funeral, I was called upon to help my mother go through his personal effects. While rummaging through chests in his attic, I came across several old journals. Thinking that I found something from my grandfathers younger days, I began reading. After a few paragraphs, I realized that this was not his, but must have been an acquaintance from his early days. Many of the journals were damaged beyond repair, but I was able to save a few of the last ones.

From the early damaged ones, I was able to piece together the following: Henry James was an archaeologist with an expedition to Greenland. The expedition was led by a man named Karnes. It was apparently an attempt to learn more about the history of Greenland, as well as some of it's geological properties. The expedition members left Henry and his colleague Laticia Bolog, a former Russian and geologist, stranded in the Inuit village of Umvik.

That's really all that I was able to extract for the water stained and fire damaged early volumes. The rest, well, you can read for yourselves. I haven't translated all of them to HTML yet, but more will follow.
